Serve & Connect Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Celebrating Diversity Through Hispanic Heritage Month

During Hispanic Heritage Month, Serve & Connect had the pleasure of interviewing multiple law enforcement officers from across South Carolina to celebrate and highlight our Hispanic police partners.

Through these conversations, we explored what inspired them to serve, the perspective they bring to their communities and what serving the Hispanic population means to them. We’re proud to share their stories and recognize the individuals behind the badge who work every day to build stronger relationships with the communities they serve.

Meet Our Hispanic Police Partners

Meet Deputy Joy, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Watch Deputy Joy share her story and talk about what serving her community means to her.

Meet Officer Vasquez, Cayce Police Department

Hear from Officer Vasquez about his passion for serving Cayce’s Hispanic community and building meaningful connections with the people he serves.

Meet Deputy Rodriguez, Deputy Colon and Investigator Nieves

Learn from Deputy Rodriguez, Deputy Colon and Investigator Nieves as they share information about resources available to the Richland County community.

Celebrating the People Behind the Badge

At Serve & Connect, we believe meaningful relationships begin with connection, understanding and a willingness to learn from each other. By sharing the stories and experiences of our Hispanic police partners, we celebrate the diverse individuals who serve our communities and the connections that help bring us closer together.
