Tragedy Response

Help Support Officer Don “DJ” Keller’s Memorial Fund

Help support the family of fallen Greenwood Officer Don “DJ” Keller. Officer Keller was killed in the line of duty on Monday, May 11th, 2026.

He leaves behind his wife, Alison, and their two-year-old daughter. His K9 partner, Vice, was in the vehicle during the incident and was not injured.

This fundraiser was created to support Alison and their daughter as they face the difficult days ahead. Donations will help provide financial support for immediate expenses and future needs during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for supporting the Keller family and honoring Officer Keller’s service, sacrifice, and memory.

100% of funds raised will go directly to his family.

Help Support the Deputy Alex Albrecht Recovery Fund

Help us support the family of injured Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputy Alex Albrecht. Deputy Albrecht is still on the road to recovery after being injured during a traffic stop on Monday, April 20th along I-85.

Thanks to the swift actions of his fellow deputies and first responders, his life was saved. Now, he faces ongoing treatment, rehabilitation and time away from work as he heals.

This fundraiser has been created to support Deputy Alex Albrecht and his family during this challenging time. Contributions will help ease the financial burden as he focuses on recovery.

100% of funds raised will go directly to his family.

Requesting Support

We understand how important it is for communities to support those who give the ultimate sacrifice. When Officer Greg Alia was killed in 2015, the community rallied around our founder, Kassy, and their 6-month old son Sal.

We carry forward this immense kindness through our Tragedy Response Program. Anytime an officer is killed in the line-of-duty or critically injured in the line-of-duty in South Carolina, we offer to facilitate community giving to support the officer and their family and to honor their bravery. Since 2015, we have raised over $1.1 million. We do not keep any of the money raised. 100% is donated to the officers and their families.

We are honored to facilitate an online fundraiser through our platform for any of our active agencies in South Carolina. All donations are tax deductible. With the support of the agency and the officer’s family, we will develop the content and ensure all donors receive donation receipts. We will also work with the agency to support awareness of the fundraiser.

We find that timeliness is critical for ensuring the success of the campaign. We encourage all fundraisers to be set up no more than 72 hours after the critical incident.

If you would like to request support in setting up a tragedy response campaign or if you have questions regarding best practices for doing so, please contact our team at info@serveandconnect.org.
