May 26, 2026 • Greg's Groceries
600 Greg’s Groceries boxes were packed in Roxboro, North Carolina thanks to the support of dozens of volunteers, community members, and local law enforcement agencies working together to serve families in need.
Hosted at Walmart in Roxboro, the event brought together officers and residents from across the region to strengthen community relationships while helping provide food support to those facing food insecurity.
Serve & Connect would like to extend a special thank you to the Roxboro Police Department and to Chief David Hess for hosting the event and helping coordinate a successful day of service for the community.
“Our Greg’s Grocery packing event was an amazing day with law enforcement to serve and connect with our community, packing food that will make an impactful change in the lives of someone in need,” Chief David Hess, Roxboro Police Department.
We want to recognize Trooper William Bennett of South Carolina Highway Patrol for traveling with our team to assist in this impactful day!
We are also grateful to North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson and his office for joining volunteers to help pack boxes and support the mission of building positive connections through service.
A huge thank you goes to Walmart for providing the space and support needed to make this community event possible.
Additional thanks to our law enforcement and first responder partners who attended and volunteered throughout the event, including the Person County Sheriff’s Office, Roxboro Fire Department, Raleigh Police Department, North Carolina Highway Patrol, and our newest partner, the Hillsborough Police Department.
Greg’s Groceries events continue to create meaningful opportunities for law enforcement and community members to work side-by-side while helping families access essential food resources across North Carolina and beyond.
